When Laura’s mum contacted me to photograph her daughter’s wedding at Karaka, I knew it was going to be an amazing day. We hadn’t met before the wedding day, but their quiet sweet spirits were a joy to be around from the moment I arrived.
Backyard weddings are one of my absolute favorite weddings to shoot. The rustic, rural vibe blended with an intimate and personal touch is always something I look forward to, along with the natural surroundings. Portraits taken in this setting often capture a sense of simplicity and warmth, with soft, natural light creating a dreamy, original quality. The relaxed environment of a backyard wedding allows couples to truly be themselves.
Deb, Laura’s mum, was the wedding planner, stylist, and florist of the day and by looking at the photos you probably can see how perfect everything was. The day went so smoothly and they had the best party for the whole night!
