Georgia & Mitchell’s Greek Wedding at The Refinery Brisbane
There are weddings you photograph, and then there are weddings you truly feel.
Georgia and Mitchell’s Greek-Australian wedding in Brisbane was one of those days — filled with old-world romance, family, laughter and so much heart. Their wedding day began with a beautiful Greek Orthodox ceremony at the Greek Orthodox Church of St George, before continuing at The Refinery Brisbane, where their celebration unfolded into an unforgettable evening surrounded by family and friends.
Georgia and Mitchell first met through Mitch’s sister, and in 2023, Mitch proposed on Georgia’s birthday at home, just the two of them. Their wedding was a beautiful continuation of that story, bringing together not only the two of them but their little family and the people who have been part of their journey.
Inspired by the feeling of a 90s vintage romance, Georgia and Mitchell wanted their wedding to feel timeless, nostalgic and deeply personal. Their styling brought together old-world elegance and a modern editorial feel, with soft candlelight, beautiful textures, sculptural florals and classic details that felt effortlessly beautiful rather than overly styled.
But more than anything, this was a celebration of family.
Having their babies there was incredibly important to Georgia and Mitchell. Throughout the day, their children were at the heart of so many moments — running around, laughing and creating those little pockets of beautiful chaos that made the day feel real and completely theirs.
The ceremony at the Greek Orthodox Church of St George was filled with tradition and emotion, followed by an incredible reception at The Refinery Brisbane. From the elegant styling to the energy of the Greek-Australian celebration, every part of the day had its own rhythm.
And then there was the dancing.
The kind of celebration where the dance floor becomes the centre of everything, surrounded by family, friends, laughter and music. These are the moments that make photographing weddings so special: not just the beautiful details, but the atmosphere and the people who bring the day to life.
